[Single] Supa Bwe and Dounia – Entropy

Chicago’s Supa Bwe is a man of many styles. From in-your-face aggression to atmospheric reflection, his tracks are always a mystery until pressing play. His newest single, “Entropy”, falls into the latter category (see: up in the sky) and comes complete with a feature from Dounia and production from Shepard Sounds. Press play and feel this one wrap you whole.

[Singles] Two Loose Tracks from Lucki

Lucki is preparing Freewave 3, and as an appetizer, two of his frequent collaborators let loose two singles. First is “Night” produced by 16yrold and second is “I Need More” produced by Plu2o Nash. Both tracks are spaced out, dazed, lost in the clouds. Everything you need for the middle of October, unless Lucki delivers with his next project.

[Single] Intre and Nicodxmvs – Everyday

We covered Texas producer Nicodxmvs last month and now he has returned with the single alongside rapper ‘Intre’. Handling production, mixing, and mastering, Nicodxmvs provides a haunting backdrop for Intre to do his thing. The track is the first from these two but certainly not the last, as their EP Retribution is arriving sooner than later.

[Single] Mick Jenkins – Bruce Banner

Chicago poet/writer/MC Mick Jenkins is moving at 100mph. After releasing two free EPs, he then dropped the loose single “Bruce Banner”, a bar-heavy heater produced by Nez & Rio. All of these releases act as further anticipation for Jenkins’ upcoming album, which should be arriving this year. He’s doing one hell of a job holding us all over until then. If you need more, be sure to check out his last two EPs, in particular the track “Earl Sweatshirt Type Beat.”

Sick Sad World with Vela Seff

Repeat after me: SICK SAD WORLD. The newly formed collective of frequent collaborators Vela Seff, Nancy, and Tombo have been churning out music at an alarming rate. Vela Seff, in particular, just released Tears on the Fronto, a five song EP fully produced by Tombo as well as a single with Nancy and Bigbodyfiji. From what I can gather, everyone involved has much more on the way.

[Singles] Kent Loon & Chester Watson

In the last month, rapper Kent Loon has released two new tracks. First, he dropped the single ‘Drone.’ Produced by Psychedelic Ensemble, the thumping number quakes through the speakers. “Drone” was followed up with “Chessmaster”, a collaborative track between Loon and Chester Watson that demands a high speed drive. The two have plenty more around the corner, but these singles should hold you over for the time being.

Tampa rapper Big Baby aka Big Baby Scumbag dropped the single “Lucky Charm” earlier this Spring and it’s been on repeat. Now that it’s finally getting warmer outside, this is the perfect track for a backyard function, a top-down drive, or a rooftop indulgence. Complete with wild VHS visuals courtesy of DogXanax, the Drip-133 produced track is one that will stay in your head well into summer.

[Album/Video] Key! & Kenny Beats – 777

Rapper Key! spent a large part of 2018 teasing his collaborative album with producer Kenny Beats. The finalized album is 777, a 15 song run through of thumping intensity and electric bounce. Tracks like “Move” and “Toronto” demand to be played on loop at maximum volume. To top it off, Key! provided the visuals for the tracks “Hater” (directed by JimmyRegular) and “Kelly Price Freestyle” (shot by Miggy). The complete package makes 777 one of the most exciting hip-hop releases of 2018.
