[EPs] Updates with Zubin and Friends

Vocalist Zubin is a new name for me, but he quickly grabbed my attention by being in great company. Last month, he released the six song EP, Misery. Fully produced by Nedarb (who we interviewed back in October), the project is sorrowful, atmospheric, and full of falsetto. It’s something to play on the late night when you can’t get a text back.

Showing no signs of letting up, Zubin followed up his EP with Nedarb by releasing the split single Potion. Featuring Horse Head, Fantasy Camp, Cold Hart, Foxwedding, and Jon Simmons, the collaborative singles come and go too quickly. So damn good.

[Album] Brennan Savage – Badlands

L.A.-based Brennan Savage released the ten song project Badlands last month. Almost entirely produced by Savage himself (handling six of the tracks), the project also features production from Horse Head (who opens and closes the project) as well as Killstation, Lederrick, and Brobak. Spin the quick project back a second time and learn how to punch through windows.

[ALBUM] Horse Head & Fish Narc – This Mess is My Mess

Last week, LA-based artist released the nine song project This Mess is My Mess. Fully produced by Fish Narc, the collaborative album is a sad and emotional release. Guitar-driven melancholic trap gets blended with alternative rock, punk, and hip-hop. It’s a monster unlike any other, with one feature from Lil’ Peep. Shout-out to Yawns for mixing and mastering. Don’t sleep.
