Earlier this week, iPad producer ZenZan let loose the Blade Runner inspired project 2049. Made up of eight instrumentals, the bass-heavy tape is soaked in jazz, trap, ambient, and hip-hop. It’s a glorious escape for 20 minutes.

Paying homage to the Chicago legend Frankie Knuckles, producers Mulatto and Cangelosi linked up for a 9-and-a-half minute house mix known as Grand Prix. The project takes inspiration from the race track and feels like driving a fast car after midnight. Don’t sleep. Get on your feet.

Milwaukee wild child Zed Kenzo does it all on her own with the new single “Go Psycho.” Focusing on self-empowerment, lone wolf global takeovers, and uplifting isolation, the track is something you need to bump when you need a pick-me-up. Something to blast before a job interview, before a blind date, before anything stressful that comes your way.

Turn your head around for an instant and you might miss something special from producer Jetson. The New Zealand artist and Chill Children founder has released four heaters in the last few months.
His most recent is ‘Coolin’ which sounds exactly like summer. Which it is, on the other side of the globe. Prior to that drop, he released ‘pull up on u’ , which is unstoppable, pounding through the speakers, and comes complete with edited video work.
From flips to reworkings to ‘late night edits’ to original numbers, his portfolio is one to play during a midnight rainstorm. Something to impress your friends and appease your eardrums.
With four pieces of music that impress following his past Lemon Water EP, consider this a reminder to continue listening to Jetson. Who knew bass-heavy bangers could be this smooth?

Multifaceted artist Nedarb kickstarted this calendar year with a 16 song album known as Amity. Featuring an epic plethora of familiar names and Candy Drips affiliates, the project blends genres for a sound unlike anything around. It’s been great watching Nedarb’s evolution and progression, and this album is a further example of that rise.
