[EP] Nancy Love – Glitter

Chicago vocalist and producer Nancy Love (fka Nancy) let loose the six song project known as Glitter. With all songs produced by Sick Sad World affiliates (Tombo, Jasper, Vela Seff, Nikai, and Nancy), it makes for a cohesive and cloudy shoegaze experience, best enjoyed with low eyes and a high roof. Check out the wild and technicolor video for ‘Boyfriend’ below.

[EP] DA$H – IS HE DEAD YET?

Late to the party? Maybe, but Da$h’s most recent EP, Is He Dead Yet?, is perfect for the dead of winter. Featuring eight tracks trapped in dark alleys (complete with production from Mulatto Beats, Sledgren, Revenxnt, and more), this is a 15 minute nightmare you won’t want to miss.

[EP] J Bambii – Retrograde

Chicago MC J Bambii (aka Oprah Gucci) launched three tracks at the end of 2018 and we’re still looping them daily. Lyrically sharp over lofi production (from familiar names like Wun Two and emune), the short and sweet project is something to play as you make your coffee for the day.

[EP] Bari – The Prefix

St. Louis rapper Bari gave the world a taste of things to come with a three song EP known as The Prefix. The first two are solo tracks produced by Monte Booker while the final track features Smino (who also handled the beat). It’s a short and sweet project, one to hold our attention until something larger arrives from the talented rapper.

Sick Sad World with Vela Seff

Repeat after me: SICK SAD WORLD. The newly formed collective of frequent collaborators Vela Seff, Nancy, and Tombo have been churning out music at an alarming rate. Vela Seff, in particular, just released Tears on the Fronto, a five song EP fully produced by Tombo as well as a single with Nancy and Bigbodyfiji. From what I can gather, everyone involved has much more on the way.
